Free Responsible Beverage Service Training for Businesses

The Suisun City Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) Prevention Coalition is offering free responsible beverage service training for businesses, service clubs, restaurant workers or others involved in the sale or service of alcohol.

The training resulting in a two-year certification that in some cases is required to serve alcohol to the public.

The 4-hour session will cover

  • Criminal, civil and Alcohol Control Board liabilities related to alcohol service
  • Updates on state alcohol laws
  • Methods to improve profits be selling less alcohol
  • Acceptable legal identification, and best methods to check I.D.
  • How to refuse service
  • How to prevent illicit drug activity
  • Community responsibility

The training will be held from 5-9 p.m., Wednesday April 16, 2014, at the Nelson Community Center, 611 Village Drive, Suisun City.
