Access to Capital Event - Financing Solutions for Small Businesses
Vallejo, California – The Solano College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will conduct a free Access to Capital Event to provide information about Financing Solutions for Small Business at 3-4:30 p.m. on Tuesday Oct. 23, 2012 at the Solano College Vallejo Center, 545 Columbus Parkway in Vallejo.
Arthur Washington, CEO of the Northern California Small Business Financial Development Corporation (Nor-Cal FDC), will present a financing overview and moderate a lenders panel featuring representatives from
- U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)
- State Assistance Fund for Enterprise, Business and Industrial Development Corporation (SAFE-BIDCO)
- Umpqua Bank
- Grow Vallejo Fund
- Bay Area Development Company
- Working Solutions
- Marble Bridge Funding Group, and
- U.S. Department of Transportation Small Business Transportation Resource Center.
Existing and prospective business owners will learn about different financing options, the criteria to qualify for financing, and the process of submitting a loan request. The panelists will provide information about a variety of financing options available such as SBA guaranteed loans, state guaranteed loans, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) loans, microloans, and other financing options such as accounts receivable financing.
Funding for the event is being provided by the SBA, City of Vallejo, and Solano College Small Business Development Center.
